 If it involves fishing, Rob is always ready to go! With the past 10 years devoted primary to the South Platte Drainage Rob has come to know the river, fish and bugs very well. Living on the river Rob has intimate knowledge of the four seasons of fly fishing. With his attention to the client’s needs the client receives a great day on the river with a fun learning experience.

Jesse is a native of Evergreen, CO and he started fly fishing a young boy and now makes his home on the South Platte River in Deckers, Colorado. Jesse has been a guide for Flies & Lies for the past 12 years and you will see him in the fly shop giving advice to customers. His vast experience in fly fishing and knowledge of the South Platte River helps his clients learn the technical aspects of fly fishing the South Platte River. Jesse enjoys working with all anglers, beginners to experienced anglers alike.

John started fly fishing at the young age of 10.  He would go on father-son fishing trips every summer until he moved to make Colorado is home in 2011. Since then, fly fishing has turned into a passion. A good day of fishing for John is getting to stand in a river enjoying the wilderness and catching a beautiful fish. He loves getting to watch someone catch a fish for the first time and experience the joy of fighting a trout on the South Platte. He loves working with anglers of all ages and experience, whether that is teaching someone how to fish for the first time or refining their skills. John's goal is to make sure the client is a better angler when they leave, to catch fish and to have fun doing it.
